New Music Monday: Ruelle
This week’s feature for New Music Monday is the incredible artist, Ruelle.

Maggie Eckford had previously released indie/pop music before finding her niche and deciding to release an EP, “Up in Flames,” under the name Ruelle. With her dark and cinematic style, it’s no wonder her songs have been featured on many television shows including Scream, Revenge, Sleepy Hollow, and most-recently, Guilt.
However, she is arguably most-known for her contributions to the Freeform show, Shadowhunters. With more than 6 of her songs used in their very first season, including “This Is the Hunt” as it’s theme song, her beautiful music manages to have the perfect vibe for every scene it is played in. “Monsters” plays in the very first minute of the first episode and really sets the stage for the supernatural storyline. One of the most popular moments in the series features her song, “War of Hearts.”
Another fan-favorite is “Storm,” which plays during the main pairing’s first kiss. These songs have become meaningful for fans of Shadowhunters, but can also stand on their own with just as much of an impact.
Her newest release, “I Get to Love You” has been climbing the charts, hitting #2 under the singer/songwriter category and breaking the top #20 overall! It blew up after being used in The Vampire Diaries, as well as on Dancing with the Stars. Written for her husband as their first dance, it’s both extremely personal and extremely relatable.
She is currently working on an album and we’re very excited to hear it!
