La Bouquet Releases Debut Album “Sad People Dancing”

Years in the making, the LA trio La Bouquet has finally followed up their array of singles and EP with their debut album, Sad People Dancing – described by subtext on the album art as “a sonic experience of cut-flower love, profound sadness & patience.”

The trio consisting of Bryan Sammis (formerly of The Neighbourhood), Jake Lopez, and Drew Bruchs mix together the genres of new wave 80’s pop, alt-pop, R&B and even post-punk to create the sad-pop sound that is La Bouquet.

Sammis’ lyrics give listeners plenty to think and reminisce about, as he tells his stories of heartbreak and love throughout the album. Together with the help of Lopez and Bruchs’ instrumentals, they create a hauntingly beautiful landscape and album.
