Fresh off the release of her latest EP, Driving Music, Mallrat brings an exciting show to an adoring Portland crowd that knew every word to every song performed.

“You’re being very nice,” says the multi-genre artist bashfully. From beginning to end the love the Portland crowd had for Mallrat was obvious, and elevated in the beautifully intimate venue of Portland’s Holocene. Feeling the love the crowd was giving off, Mallrat let slip that she would be finishing an album once tour was over and returning to the city soon after.

Mallrat weaved her way through her collection of songs, performing a little bit of everything from recent releases from Driving Music, to songs off 2016’s Uninvited. Nearing the end of the night Mallrat teased the crowd, “I’ve only got a couple songs left” and to the unified groans she laughed and replied “I don’t have that many songs! …yet.” And to the outbreak of cheers she dove into her hit song “Groceries,” which had everyone in the crowd moving and dancing to.

Even with only a handful of work, it’s obvious Mallrat has the talent and promise to go far. After touring with Maggie Rogers and seeing her beloved fans, Mallrat is already seeing her own devoted group of fans grow and support her work. Keep your eyes on this up and coming artist.
