“I know I sing a lot of sad songs but the sad songs are better if you sing along.” Looking up at Maisie Peters on stage you might not expect her to be singing ‘a lot of sad songs’ but these songs are what help her fans connect to her here in Cambridge, MA and elsewhere. The songs aren’t all obviously sad, one of the crowd favorites, “Place We Were Made”, is a song that anyone can find making them nostalgic for another time before now. The British singer said she hopes she’ll be able to tour more in the future and come back to Cambridge and more cities around the US. Peters’ setlist was planned perfectly, splitting up songs where she sang with her acoustic guitar or with a piano up with ones that allowed her to bounce around the stage and dance along with the crowd. She even surprised the crowd with a two-song encore at the end with her songs “Personal Best” and “Worst of You”.
