Miley Cyrus Takes Center Stage…Of Her Backyard

With the release of her latest single, “Midnight Sky,” and her viral cover of rock sensation Blondie’s song, “Heart of Glass,” fans were given so much content. Cyrus is back at it again with the announcement of her partnership with MTV to bring audiences around the world a backyard concert. Formally known as,  “MTV Unplugged Presents Miley Cyrus Backyard Sessions,” this concert is sure to be full of nonstop hits. It was described in advertisements as both “unplugged” and “stripped back” which will not only give Cyrus the ability to showcase her incredible vocal range, but it will also show fans her gift of reinventing songs. 

 

The singer made this announcement to her 116 million followers on Instagram with a video accompanying it. With her signature new platinum mullet, she has shown her audience a new era is upon us. Miley’s new single, “Midnight Sky,” has been performed live on the BBC Radio stage and will be featured again in this backyard session. A clip of her performing this song was also featured in the promotional video on Instagram. She proves time and time again her ability to sound immaculate in a live setting, and we are sure this concert will be no different. 

 

The singer has famously done backyard sessions with such a huge following. She has even collaborated with pop superstar Ariana Grande to deliver a cover of Crowded Houses’ “Don’t Dream It’s Over.” The concert will be debuting on Friday, October 16th at 7/6c.
