DARKMINDS Starts The Summer Off with their Debut Album, Good News

DARKMINDS is delivering the good news with their debut album.

The duo supergroup released their premiere project, Good News, this past weekend on June 4. The nine-track album is a fun ride from beginning to end. No need to make a party playlist — this is all you need!

Every song on Good News is lively and colorful that will get you grooving along. The first track, “Everything,” is an upbeat song that sets the tone for what you’re going to hear from the rest of the album.

It moves on to “Get It” which has a vibe reminiscent of Fergie’s “Glamorous.” Then it gets even more uptempo with “Better Days,” which we can see as a party hit. Right after that, we have “Good News,” which is slower yet happy and playful. It’s truly a feel-good song.

Later on, they give us “Make Me Feel Good” and “We Got It All” in which they turn the summer vibes all the way up. They are vibrant songs that just put you in a happy mood.

The album in its entirety just radiates energy and positivity. The timing couldn’t be more perfect now that summer is coming up and sunny days are coming back (both literally and figuratively). In a press release, they revealed that this was their intention.

“Whenever we get together to write for DARKMINDS, the energy is effortlessly positive and optimistic. This collection of songs is really a reflection of that energy,” they say. “Our hope is that this album can be a small part of the antidote to the world’s seemingly relentless negativity.”

DARKMINDS is the pop hip-hop project of Daniel Ellsworth and Christopher “C4” Umana. They paired up and started making music together in 2019 and released several singles since then. Their music even received features in TV shows and ads for Apple, CBS, VH1 and more.

The duo delivers an impressive debut album. It’s just the perfect music at the perfect time. This is how you kick off the summer vibes!
