Olivia Morreale Takes Off with Debut EP, SPACE DREAMS
Olivia Morreale’s debut EP has finally arrived!
The LA-based artist released her EP, SPACE DREAMS, today on all streaming services. The 4-track project takes us on a smooth, funky, sonic journey. It truly feels like an out-of-this-world experience with her dreamy vocals and the jazz-infused music production.
The project starts off with “NO ANSWER,” a song with strong 80s vibes that sounds like an absolute dream. It is the perfect introduction into the world she’s creating with her EP.
Next up is “Another Moon,” a groovy R&B vibe about wanting to get away to another world. Following that is “PARASOMNIA,” an eclectic mix of funk and jazz with a little bit of electronic to give it some more umph!
Lastly, we have a brand new song that’s previously unreleased, “Matter Of Time.” This song quite distinct from the others because the music production is much simpler and slower. The spotlight is purely on Morreale who gives a captivating and soulful vocal performance.
The singer-songwriter grew up listening to and loving jazz music. Legends like Frank Sinatra, Nat King Cole and Ella Fitzgerald served as her musical inspirations. You can definitely hear the influences throughout the EP.
Morreale created something so fresh and unique. It feels like a breath of fresh air. The mix of soul, R&B and jazz in her music weave together to make a sound that’s soothing and beautiful. It’s just an overall win to hear jazz elements back in music.
