New Music Friday: November 12, 2021

It’s finally Friday! New Music Friday is stacked this week with new tracks from Taylor Swift, Silk Sonic, Holly Humberstone and more. See the full guide below.

  1. “All Too Well (10 Minute Version) (Taylor’s Version) (From The Vault)” – Taylor Swift
    The wait is finally over! Taylor Swift her latest rerecorded album, Red (Taylor’s Version) and the highly-anticipated ten-minute version of her fan-favorite deep track is a clear standout. The new version cuts even deeper than the original and is sure to live up to her fan’s expectations.
  2. “Blast Off” – Bruno Mars, Anderson .Paak & Silk Sonic
    Another big release today is the debut album from Silk Sonic, An Evening With Silk Sonic and this song is definitely the highlight. It’s the smoothest track we’ve heard from them and has an old-school sound that ties everything up perfectly.
  3. “Bite Me” – Avril Lavigne
    This new track from punk queen Avril Lavigne is anthemic and high-energy. It’s fun and even has a danceable beat that will be sure to get just about anyone dancing.
  4. “Friendly Fire” – Holly Humberstone
    Another big release today is The Walls Are Way Too Thin from singer-songwriter Holly Humberstone. This song is her at her most raw and earnest and it comes across beautifully.
  5. “feel like shit” – Tate McRae
    Tate McRae returns with a track that is sure to pull on the heartstrings of every listener. It talks of a dying relationship and coming to the realization that it’s ending.
  6. “No” – Little Mix
    The girl group is back and its new track is a hit. It’s smooth and rhythmic and showcases some growth in all three of their vocals, making it some of their best work yet.
  7. “All Our Friends Are Splitting Up” – Katelyn Tarver
    Kately Tarver dropped her latest album, Subject To Change today and this track is one of the very best on it. It’s heartfelt and earnest, while still showcasing her beautiful wispy vocal.
  8. “Be Alive (Original Song from the Motion Picture King Richard)” – Beyoncé
    Beyoncé returns with a new track from the upcoming film King Richard, which is based on the childhood of tennis superstars, Venus and Serena Williams. This track is soulful and carries that classic R&B sound while talking about the importance of family and leaning on them when chasing your dreams gets to be difficult.
  9. “I Love The Weekend” – Betta Lemme
    Betta Lemme dropped her latest EP Ready For The Weekend today, and this track is the clear star of the tracklisting. It’s haunting, intriguing and talks of feeling alone on the weekend when no one picks up the phone because they’ve booked weekend plans without you.
  10. “LA FAMA (feat. The Weeknd)” – Rosalía
    Rosalía is back with a new track that shows clear growth and the addition of The Weeknd only makes it that much better. This Spanish track is sultry,  infectious and sure to be a fan favorite.
