What do Queen’s “Don’t Stop Me Now”, arcade games, and mosh pits have in common? A Beach Bunny show. Beach Bunny walked onto the Observatory stage this week while Queen’s “Don’t Stop Me Now“ played in a sold out room full of teens and anxious excitement. The band’s most well-known single that gained viral traction “Prom Queen” was an amazing opening for the band’s set. As the dreamy indie rock set continued, Lili encouraged opening up pits, and the crowd complied. Fans were on cloud 9 when the group added in older songs from the first few EPs including “6 Weeks”, “Boys” and “February”.

Need some new indie rock anthems to play on repeat? Look no further than Beach Bunny’s latest EP Blame Game. This first release after their debut album comes across more polished while continuing with the raw angst and commentary against toxic masculinity that fans love.

The entire set was unapologetically indie rock, and adored by everyone in the sold out room. Lead vocal and guitar front woman Lili Trifilio started Beach Bunny as a bedroom solo project in 2015 and has spent the last years getting better and better at commanding a stage which has lead to the almost sold out U.S. tour they just finished embarking on. Although it is unclear what 2022 holds for live music, Beach Bunny has certainly made the most out of this year picking up new fans all over the country and refining their live show.
