While a 10am show in Los Angeles is ambitious, what’s even more ambitious is playing 3 shows in 24 hours. Flor flawlessly pulled off both last weekend during what they called “Flor in 24” to celebrate the release of their new album Future Shine.

Flor sold out a room with a 10am start time and filled it with energy as if it were the hottest show in the city on a Friday night, which very few bands can do or have even dared to try. “We’re having a hard time coming to terms with the fact that it’s the morning” the band explained after playing their first couple of songs. Fresh off of a tour with the Band Camino, they play polished, yet keep it fun and intimate. Lead singer Zach Grace even paused midway through the set to replace his crazy pair of glasses with an even crazier pair of glasses handed to him by a fan. They played a hits-filled 13 song set including “Big Shot”, “Skate”, and “Gotta Do Something” from the new album and closed the show with “restless soul”, “hold on”, and “warm blood”.

The third album from Flor takes the sound that their fans love to a whole new level and positions them to be the next big thing to dominate alternative radio. The album opens up with a mellower track full of synths that perfectly tees up how the album builds to more exciting large sounding tracks like “Big Shot” and “Gotta Do Something”. They created a perfect song for an upcoming summer day with “Skate”. For an album that was created in several different ways over the pandemic, it is completely optimistic for every future, including the band’s.
