Rapper Snow Tha Product brought her Dale Gas tour to August Hall in San Francisco last month.

Claudia Alexandra Madriz Meza, who performs as Snow Tha Product, kept the party atmosphere going from the moment she stepped onstage with a bottle of Don Julio. Joining opener AJ Hernz at the end of his set, Meza took the stage without a changeover. The already infectious energy from the audience only magnified when the performer launched directly into “Hola” and “Bilingüe.”

Meza frequently interacted with the audience, even bringing a large group onstage to dance partway through the set. She was no stranger to playfully roasting her fans, warning them that “y’all better know how to dance,” before volunteering to come onstage. At one point between songs, Meza flagged down security to break up a fight in the crowd. Once the instigating man was moved from the floor, Meza mused, “people think I’m a lesbian because I hate men, but that’s not true. I’m a lesbian because I love women and men are stupid.” It was this kind of dry, unflinching humor that allowed her to command the stage for the nearly two-hour long set.
