Jacob Banks Announces New Album – “Lies About War”

If you are a fan of soulful and expressive music, keep an eye and an ear out for Jacob Banks’s upcoming album! On June 10th, the Nigerian-born artist announced his 6th and newest album, “Lies About War.” Banks, who is presently based in Birmingham, England, has been producing music since 2013. His victory in the Adidas “Are You In,” 2012 competition acted as a catalyst for his musical career.

Since the beginning of his career, Banks has used both his vocal and instrumental skills, playing both guitar and piano. His rich and empowering voice transforms his music into stories. Banks proves through his music that he will never forget where he came from. His album Village embodies just this. The title “Village,” references a familiar African saying, “It takes a village to raise a child.”

Jacob Banks has had a successful career thus far, having sold out shows in music festivals such as Coachella and lollapalooza, as well as gaining universal recognition through guest appearances on Jimmy Kimmel Live and Ellen. Beyond The Stage is excited to see what the artist’s next projects will be following his album release.
