Summer 2022 proves to be the come-back for movies. From Top Gun: Maverick to The Minions, we have seen some sound tracks you don’t want to miss. Here are the top 5 songs from movies released this summer!

1.”I Ain’t Worried”- OneRepublic

Even if you haven’t seen Top Gun: Maverick, you have probably heard all about the beach scene. The new song, made specifically for the film, perfectly enhanced the fun and fresh scene and has brought OneRepublic back into mainstream music.

 

2. “Turn Up The Sunshine”- Dina Ross, Tame Impala

The Tame Impala never fails in creating the most fun and almost addicting instrumentals. The Australian band collaborated with Dina Ross, former lead of the Supremes, to create this tune for Minions: Rise of Gru.

 

3. “Hollywood Swining”- BROCKHAMPTON

Originally recorded by Kool & The Gang in 1974, this throwback was exceptionally re-produced by the band BROCKHAMPTON this year for none other than Minions: The Rise of Gru. The disco-style song was one of the last of BROCKHAMPTON’s projects before their indefinite hiatus.

 

4. “The Edge of Reality”- Tame Impala ft. Elvis

“The Edge of Reality” was perhaps one of Elvis’s most popular songs during his career, and that popularity remains today. Tame Impala has been doing a lot of cinematic projects this summer and this psychedelic-style song was a perfect fit for the band to take on. The remix ft. the late Elvis himself beautifully added to the soundtrack for Elvis, the movie.

 

5. “Paradise City”- Guns N’ Roses

Thor: Love and Thunder had a soundtrack rich in throwbacks from Guns N’ Roses. The hard-rock band was one of the most infamous to appear out of the 1980s, and their metal mayhem still spreads like wildfire today. What better song to use in a superhero movie than “Paradise City?”
