PHOTOS: 100 gecs – Chicago, IL – 4/20/23

Since the formation of 100 gecs, consisting of Dylan Brady and Laura Les in 2015, the musical duo has continued to rise in popularity, amassing over 200k Instagram followers. With an eclectic musical style that draws influences from many genres but is most often described as hyperpop, a 100 gecs show is an experience that promises to be many things but never boring.

Taking the stage to the nearly sold-out crowd at Aragon Ballroom in Chicago, you could feel the floorboards shaking with the beginning of “Dumbest Girl Alive,” off of second studio album release 10,000 gecs. The rest of the setlist showcased a decent mix of songs from their first studio album, 1000 gecs, as well as tracks like “Torture Me” off EP Snake Eyes. Not to mention fan favorites like “stupid horse,” and “money machine.”
