NEW VIDEO: Real Friends – “Empty Picture Frames”

Illinois pop punk band Real Friends has always had a knack for putting out heartfelt and meaningful songs and videos to accompany them. The music video for “Empty Picture Frames,” off of their latest album The Home Inside My Head (2016), is no exception, telling the stories of two different people, the threads of their lives unraveling as we catch glimpses of the things they go through.

“Empty Picture Frames” touches on many things within a short space of time–memories of special days, passions that have been put on the shelf and replaced with obligations, the feeling of being trapped by expectations–and then wraps it all up with the idea that there is still hope left.

“Our music video for Empty Picture Frames holds a special message that means a lot to us,” the band wrote on their Facebook page. “That message is to simply do what you love. It’s never too late to change life to fit your expectations.”

Real Friends Spring Tour

Real Friends will be going on a massive headlining tour beginning at the end of April with an impressive lineup of supporting bands, including Have Mercy, Tiny Moving Parts, Broadside, and Nothing,Nowhere.
