Alec Benjamin announces collaboration with Alessia Cara

As a New Years gift to his fans, Alec Benjamin announced that he will be releasing a new version of his song “Let Me Down Slowly” featuring pop-star Alessia Cara. Benjamin made a splash this past fall when he released his mix tape Narrated For You, which caught the attention of stars like John Mayer and Why Don’t We. “Let Me Down Slowly” was the lead single from his mix tape, and has since accumulated over 100 million streams worldwide.

Leading up to the announcement of his collaboration with Alessia Cara, Benjamin started teasing the announcement on social media, saying that he had a song coming out with one of his favorite artists. Cara expressed her excitement about the collaboration on her Instagram, where she revealed that she added a new verse to the new version of the song.
