Our first Artist of the Week for 2018 is singer Presley Tennant. Check out our Q&A with her below:

  1. Can you introduce yourself to those who may not know you?

Hi! I’m Presley Tennant! I’m a 15-year-old singer-songwriter, dancer and recording artist from Southern California.

  1. How would you describe your music to people who have never heard it before?

My music is something that’s really close to me as I write all my songs off of my own experiences. Knowing that I feel like people of all ages can relate to it as it’s something that might’ve went through.

  1. What are you looking forward to most in 2018?

I am really excited for 2018! I’m going to be releasing new music as well as having my own concert series at the Avalon Hollywood and performing at NAMM.

  1. Who are your musical influences?

My musical influences are Demi Lovato, Ariana Grande, Christina Aguilera, Jessie J and Michael Jackson to name a few.

  1. What about nonmusical influences?

Wow, this is a good one! I would probably have to say Oprah Winfrey and Ellen Degeneres.

  1. If you could collaborate with any musician, who would it be and why?

I would want to collaborate with Lady Gaga if I had the chance. The way she writes her music and the meaning behind all of her songs is something I truly admire.

  1. What do you hope fans get from your music?

I hope that my fans are able to get closer to me and have an understanding of who I am.

  1. Tell us a little bit about your song, “BFF”

My song “BFF” is about a friend who you thought you were close with but in reality, they end up shutting you out and not being what a true friend means to be.

  1. What is something that you’ve accomplished so far in your career that you are most proud of?

I am proud of where I am today and I know as long as I keep working hard and pushing forward, I’ll get to where I want to be.

  1. What is a song you wish you wrote and why?

I wish I wrote ‘Man in the Mirror” by Michael Jackson. I absolutely love the meaning of the song and it’s something I find really important to me.

Tea all day, everyday! My favorite is an Iced Chai with Soy Milk!

  1. Current obsession song?

I’m obsessed with “Tell Me You Love Me” by Demi Lovato.

  1. Favorite TV Show

My favorite TV show is either “Grey’s Anatomy” or “Vampire Diaries.”

  1. Ocean or Pool?

Definitely the ocean!

  1. Favorite movie

Beauty and the Beast.
