Artist of the Week: Tiera’s Reflection

2018 has already been such a great year so far! I moved to Nashville and released my single all within a couple weeks. It was definitely hectic but it was all so worth it. I released my single, Wake Up Call on January 5th. There was a lot of work that went into this single release. I went into the studio to record this song months before at FAME studios in Muscle Shoals, AL. My co-writer, Noah Shell, and I wrote the song around 2 years ago so it’s so crazy to finally be able to release it. I also released a music video for this song which I worked on with my boyfriend Kamren Kennedy who is an amazing filmmaker! We filmed the music video at Percy Priest Lake at it was FREEZING outside but the video turned out so amazing!

A few days after the release of Wake Up Call, I made the move to Nashville, TN. The day I moved, I had a show which was CRAZY! We made the drive from Birmingham to Nashville early that morning and was only able to unpack a few things before I had to get ready for my show. I was playing the Song Suffragettes show which is an awesome all girls round in town. I played my single and two other songs. Playing rounds in Nashville is my favorite thing to do because I get to play my songs and listen to other songwriters play as well!

I’ve been in Nashville for about a month now and I am living my best life haha! I’ve been either performing or writing every day of the week. In a couple weeks, I’ll be going into the studio to record some more music that will be coming out this year. Since moving to Nashville, I’ve really been figuring out what I want to say in my music and what message I want to get across to my fans. It’s been such a great experience meeting people that are doing the same thing as me but are so different at the same time. I’ve never been around so many people that love the same thing I do. Nashville is such a great community, and I’m so happy to be apart of it!
