Because Black Lives Matter

Black Lives Matter and we can’t stress that enough.

From day one, we have aimed to participate in an all-inclusive culture to continue to support our staff, friends, colleagues, and community. In light of recent events, we’ve taken time to evaluate how we create content, what we do on a day to day basis and how we can support the black community.

From features to playlists and everything in between, we vow to make a strong effort to include diversity in every piece of content we create and everything we touch. At this point, it isn’t even enough to say that Black Lives Matter, we must impact change by looking at our own hearts, our own minds and how we represent that.

As a music publication, we feel that we can help impact the world and we hope that you will join us as we educate ourselves, learn about the black community and share how you can help. In every piece of our content, we will evaluate how we promote artists and their music and include a racially diverse group of artists in our issues.

But in times like these, we commit to educate ourselves and our communities. We commit to listening to those around us and learning the most  productive ways for us to be of service to those who continue to tirelessly fight for justice, inclusivity and equality.
