Billie Eilish: Coming to Theaters

Back in December, Billie Eilish was working toward a deal with Apple TV+ for her documentary Billie Eilish: The World’s a Little Blurry. Apple announced on September 28 that the film will be released in February 2021 in theaters and on Apple TV+. Apple TV’s first movie in theaters On The Rocks was released on Friday.

Directed by R.J. Cutler and produced with her label Interscope Records, it follows Eilish after the release of When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go? The singer was paid $25 million for the documentary while the budget for it was between $1 million and $2 million.

She won five awards following her debut album at the 62nd Grammy’s, the most of the night. The awards were for best new artist, album of the year, record of the year for “Bad Guy,” song of the year, and best pop vocal album. She became the youngest winner ever of the album of the year award.

So far in 2020, she has released two songs “No Time To Die” and “My Future” her quarantine single. Her “My Future” song and music video were released on July 30. The video has accumulated over 62 million views on YouTube, and the song has over 100 million streams on Spotify alone.

“No Time To Die” was released back in February following the trailer for the newest James Bond movie No Time To Die that was originally supposed to premiere this upcoming November. The release date has been pushed back to a new date in 2021.

Eilish released the music video to “No Time To Die” on Thursday and it has already racked up over 8 million views. It consists of rolling scenes from the movie as she sings into an old-fashioned microphone.

It’s safe to say Eilish has a lot coming up in the new year. It could be her biggest one yet!
