Album Review: How To Be Human – Chelsea Cutler

How To Be Human, Chelsea Cutler’s long-awaited debut album was released today.

If you are a fan of Chelsea Cutler, you know that she puts everything she has into each song she writes. She made that known on this record. Each track highlights the struggles and the success that come with finding yourself in your 20s.

How To Be Human was written, recorded and produced by Chelsea. This album is much more personal based on the fact that it was all done by her. When you hear each song you can tell she took a delicate amount of time on each track. It is recommend that you listen to the first track to the last in order.

Starting off strong, Chelsea opens the album with an upbeat breakup song, “Sad Tonight”. It’s the perfect song for anyone going through a break up. The lyrics are accurate for everyone who has ever had friends try to help them heal from heartbreak.

The title track, “How To Be Human”, is one of our favorites off the record. It’s one of the most raw on the album and in our opinion, one of the most relatable. We are obsessed with the track titled “Lucky” that features a collaboration with Alexander 23.

Chelsea produced each track so differently, which made them all unique. Stand out track “I Should Let You Go” is such an emotional song, you can’t help but wonder what Chelsea was feeling when she wrote it.

“Are You Listening” is our absolute favorite off the album. From the lyrics to the catchy beat, we love every aspect of the song.

Chelsea has shown nothing but complete confidence with How To Be Human. Vocally and lyrically, this album is a perfect, raw body of work that is relatable without feeling cliche. How To Be Human is like a breath of fresh air in the music industry and we are completely in love with it. Chelsea Cutler should be very proud of this record. As long time fans, we know we are.

How To Be Human is available on all streaming sites now.
