Now anyone can learn to drop the bass like Deadmau5.

Deadmau5 recently teamed up with MaterClass to provide students of all skill levels the opportunity to learn how to use the tools needed to create electronic music. MasterClass is an online teaching platform that offers classes ranging from music production, singing, songwriting, etc. The front page boasts big names, including Christina Aguilara, Usher and Reba Mcentire. In his class, Deadmau5 will bring students into his home studio where they will get an insider’s look of the tools and methods he uses to create his signature sound.

“Kids, DJs…anyone can compose music with just a computer,” says Joel. “My MasterClass is a no bullshit look into what it takes to make great music, and it’s not just buying millions of dollars worth of gear. I’m going to show my students how to play with sounds and mix melodies they can share with the world. I’ve never done something at this depth before,” as quoted in a press release.
