Dua Lipa blasts out of this world with release of Future Nostalgia- The Moonlight Edition
Back, and better than ever, Dua Lipa releases her latest album Future Nostalgia- The Moonlight Edition, which contains the new song “We’re Good.” Packed full of co-collaborators that range from Miley Cirus, Da-Baby, J Balvin, to Bad Bunny. The Moonlight Edition will have you rocking to the beat, and enlighted by the variety of vibrations that are brought forward.
Coming in as a follow-up to Lipa’s 2020 release, Future Nostalgia. This 2021 Moonlight Edition builds off of the initial 12 tracks of its original 2020 release. Only this time, Lipa has intertwined her six 2020 singles, alongside a new song.
Lipa’s creative decision to mash her singles with a preexisting album is a decision that can not only be seen as bold but also refreshing. The union of work presented on Future Nostalgia, mixed in with the Lipa’s six 2020 singles, offers a fresh perspective. Lipa manages to reinvent the story of Future Nostalgia and sew a fresh narrative in The Moonlight Edition, that has not been created for any one of these songs.
Lipa additionally presents a new song, “We’re Good,” on The Moonlight Edition. “We’re Good” according to Lipa, tells the story of “An Amicable breakup.” The song centers around the peaceful hopes that one dreams would occur when separating from a lover. As Lipa sings: “No need to hide it, go get what you want, This won’t be a burden if we both don’t hold a grudge.” A call for solitude is given. The song has an upbeat tempo and gives a blunt ending, which further accentuates the longing for tranquility in a situation that can quickly become turbulent.
If breakups could look like this, then Dua Lipa is genuinely onto something. The Moonlight Edition should not be overlooked, and “We’re Good,” will have you rethink how to have a graceful breakup.
