Dylan Dunn Drops New Single “Such a Freak”

Today is a special day for 18-year-old singer/producer Dylan Dunn. Today, the Memphis-based singer released his new single “Such a Freak,” the first track to be dropped from his upcoming debut EP, Blue Like You.

“Such a Freak” focuses on, for a change of pace, good relationships. The young artist sings about the quirks and eccentricities that a lover might find attractive in their partner, while others might deem the same traits odd or unappealing. In his own words, he says, “I wrote ‘Such a Freak’ because I had always wanted to make a song that was more realistic to what being in a great relationship is. I’ve always thought that true chemistry loves small quirks in their partner’s personality that others might not find desirable”

To accompany “Such a Freak,” Dunn released a music video alongside the single. In it, Dunn strums a guitar and is the head of a very lively banquet table in this surreal visual experience.

The EP, Blue Like You, explores a larger spectrum of emotions, ranging from the pure love in “Such a Freak” to grief and unhappiness found in the rest of the EP still to be released. The aim for Dunn is to connect his listeners through shared experiences of emotion, a goal that demonstrates Dunn is wise past his years.
