Harry Styles broke the internet (again) with the release of his “Golden” music video. While many fans anticipated its coming, it still came as a surprise when HSHQ randomly posted the single cover on Friday.

What came as even more of a surprise was how quickly the video was being released after the first announcement.  Yesterday at noon, a teaser of the music video was shared with the drop date, today.

Of course, being his ambiguous self, Styles and his team didn’t leave a time to tune in for the premiere. This caused “what time” to trend on Twitter yesterday. It wasn’t until @sonymusicitaly posted a countdown on its Instagram story this morning that fans knew when it was coming.

“Golden” is his fifth music video from his second album Fine Line and third from 2020 alone. Fine Line was released almost a year ago back in December 2019. It came after his debut solo album Harry Styles and tour in 2017.

The scenic music video was filmed in Italy and includes Styles dancing in the streets, running through the hills, swimming in the gorgeous blue water, and driving around in a classic convertible. Wearing a light blue blazer and flowing white shirt like nobody’s business, he gives off soft and happy vibes.

See the music video below.

Following the release, “Golden” debuted at number 38 on Billboard’s Pop Songs radio airplay chart, becoming his sixth Top 40 hit. It also spent one week on the Hot 100 at 86 on December 28, 2019.

Limited Edition “Golden” merch is now available here.
