Hayley Williams Releases Solo Debut

Less than a month ago Paramore front woman Hayley Williams announced that she would be releasing solo music. Today marked the release of single “Simmer” off of the upcoming album named Petals for Armor. The song is a bit of a departure from her last full album After Laughter but a welcomed intimate and darker track. The music video was released at the same time and follows Williams through a dark atmosphere. You can listen to the song and watch the new video here.

 

Before Williams embarked on the solo journey for the first time after releasing music with Paramore for over 15 years, she wrote “Tomorrow is only the start. I’m hardly prepared but i’m definitely proud”. It has not been revealed yet who else played on the new music or whether she will be playing live with her new project. Even though she has been relatively silent and there has not been much Paramore activity, the band has been very clear about the fact that this does not mean a breakup. One thing is for sure, fans are already very excited for what is next to come for Hayley Williams.
