Jhené Aiko Releases Chilombo (Deluxe)

Following the tremendous success of her album Chilombo, Grammy-nominated Jhené Aiko has released the Deluxe edition of Chilombo, which features nine bonus tracks including artists such as Kehlani, Snoop Dogg, Wiz Khalifa and more.

Since Chilombo’s initial March release, it has amassed a staggering 1.5 billion streams worldwide, with over 170 million of those in the first week, making it one of the most successful releases by a female R&B artist in recent years. 

 

The album’s title, Chilombo, derives from Aiko’s full name, Jhené Aiko Efuru Chilombo. Aiko slipped away to The Big Island of Hawaii for the initial creation of this album, and the result is as lush and therapeutic as the surrounding landscape it was conceived in. Aiko’s sensual, feathery vocals have long set her apart from other R&B artists, and Chilombo (Deluxe) is simply further proof of her elite artistry.
