Lauv shares new single and music video featuring Julia Michaels

Earlier this week, singer, songwriter and producer Lauv announced that he would be releasing a new single featuring Julia Michaels, and the song does not disappoint. The song and official music video for “There’s No Way” dropped this morning, and they represent the perfect start to Lauv’s next chapter of music.

The music video is very simple and straightforward, but it pairs perfectly with the song. It chronicles exactly what the song talks about – the feeling of wanting to be with someone, but there’s always something that gets in the way of pursuing the relationship. The video follows Lauv and Michaels while they navigate the difficult balance of wanting to be together, but realizing it won’t happen or that something will always get in the way of them being together. From the story sequence to the video production to the choreography, there could not of been a more perfect music video for this song.

“There’s No Way” is out now on all streaming platforms. Lauv and Michaels are set to perform the song for the first time together on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert on October 1st. Check out the music video for “There’s No Way” below!
