Lewis Capaldi Shares “Bruises” Music Video
Rising superstar Lewis Capaldi shared the music video for his new single “Bruises” with fans today. The song is originally from his Bruises EP, which was released in 2017 but it also managed to land a spot on Capaldi’s stellar debut album Divinely Uninspired To A Hellish Extent, which was released earlier this year via Capitol Records.
“Bruises” details the feeling of reminiscing on an old relationship and the times where your mind is clouded with the good memories, and you struggle to remember the reason that you separated in the first place. The video is no exception and conveys that message perfectly. Capaldi’s powerful delivery of the song pairs perfectly with the emotional story being told. The music video was directed by Emil Nava, who his best known for his video work with Calvin Harris, Ed Sheeran, Selena Gomez, Hailee Steinfeld and more. It is clear that both Nava and Capaldi handled the story this video tells with great care, which only makes it more special for fans upon watching it.
It is clear to anyone who is a fan of music that 2019 has been Lewis Capaldi’s year. From the release of his debut album to his first single from the album, “Someone You Loved,” which has charted in 29 counties. “Someone You Loved” spent 22 weeks (and counting) on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, peaking at the #3 spot earlier this month. Capaldi just wrapped an entirely sold-out North American tour, and will be kicking off a massive European tour to round out his incredible year.
