Lost In Riddim Music Festival Comes to Sacramento This Weekend

The inaugural season of afrobeats festival Lost in Riddim starts tomorrow at the Railyards District in Sacramento, California. Boasting a positively stacked lineup with the likes of Wizkid and Burna Boy, Lost in Riddim will showcase some of the buzziest names in African and Carribean music.

Originally scheduled to take place at Cesar Chavez Plaza, the event was recently moved to the much larger Railyards District due to overwhelming ticket demand. Now able to accommodate more than double the original capacity, the festival is now poised to host what will undoubtedly be a two-day long party.

Headliner Burna Boy is sure to attract a sizeable crowd as he closes out the festival on Sunday night. Despite his massive fanbase, the Nigerian artist tours sporadically, making Lost in Riddim an opportunity that many Burna Boy fans have been eagerly awaiting. His only other northern California stop this year will be at sold-out Outside Lands, further enticing NorCal fans to make the trip to Lost in Riddim.

The massive popularity of the fest’s entire lineup makes it hard to highlight only a few. Festival organizers and Sacramento locals Jehu “Manny” Hunter and Fornati Kumeh deserve considerable praise for drawing together such an impressive array of talent. Performers like Goldlink, Mr. Eazi, Tiwa Savage, Rotimi, and Rema add incredible star-power to the lineup.
