New Music Friday: August 16, 2019
Happy New Music Friday, friends! This week is full of new jams from some of our favorite artists like PVRIS, The Neighbourhood, Miley Cyrus and more. See our full guide below.
Top 10 Singles for the Week of August 16, 2019:
1. “Hallucinations” – PVRIS
PVRIS has dropped another new track and it’s getting us even more excited for what’s to come from them. Strong lyrics take the track to new depths and shows a new side of the group.
2. “Motivation” – Normani
The former Fifth Harmony singstress has dropped another great solo track that shows off just everything she can do both vocally and musically.
3. “Slide Away” – Miley Cyrus
The next phase of Miley Cyrus. With earnest and moving lyrics, she transcends her previous work with this new track the sounds like the start of something new, and we couldn’t be more excited.
4. “One of Us” – Liam Gallagher
This heartfelt track is traditional Liam Gallagher in all the best ways. Get ready to put this one on repeat.
5. “Home (feat. Bonn)” – Martin Garrix
A great new track that brings together two awesome artists to create something special. This is one of the best tracks from both artists and we’re so happy to see them come together.
6. “Rock Bottom” – grandson
The alt-rocker grandson returns with a too-relatable message of being told to chase the American Dream when it’s nowhere near what you really want.
7. “Heavy Shit” – Blake Rose
This track is full of strong emotion and will have you feeling on the feels in the very beginning.
8. “Heartless (feat. Morgan Wallen)” – Diplo
The latest Diplo track tells a relatable story of waiting on someone that isn’t reciprocating feelings, but still majorly being into them.
9. “Lover” – Taylor Swift
Taylor Swift has dropped the title track of her new album and it will be the perfect fuel for the last week before the album release.
10. “Middle of Somewhere” – The Neighbourhood
This latest track from alt-pop living legends The Neighbourhood is just as angsty as you’d wish for with Jesse Rutherford’s voice being as stellar as ever.
