New Music Friday: July 29, 2022

It’s another New Music Friday! This summer’s soundtrack is shaping up to be one of the best ones in recent years, and this week adds to the mix. Here are some of our favorites.

“Anywhere With You” by Maggie Rogers

The wait for her new album Surrender is over, and this song alone reminds us how Maggie Rogers is an indie star. With moments of heavy guitar and piano and Rogers’ voice and lyrics, this song is uplifting and full of joy.

“Rooftops” by Surfaces

Surfaces knows how to make music for the summer, and this light, vibey song is proof. The lyrics discuss all of the simple, best things about the season.

“SUMMER RENAISSANCE” by Beyoncé

With an interpolation from Donna Summer’s classic “I Feel Love” and a matching beat, this song from Bey’s new album is destined to be a hit.

“Coast (feat. Anderson .Paak)” by Hailee Steinfeld

We are happily surprised to hear this duo on a song together. It’s another track perfect for the summer months.

“2 Die 4” by Tove Lo

Tove Lo has been making a well-deserved return to popularity ever since Euphoria, maintaining the same cool girl vibe and sound.

“Motel” by Lava La Rue

This London-rising artist’s sound is carefully produced, from jazzy instruments to La Rue’s enchanting voice. The single’s accompanying visualizer paints the perfect picture.

“What A Life (feat. Stevie Appleton)” by John Summit and Guz

Here’s one to add to your party playlist with just the right beat drop: “what a life, what a time to be free”.

“Get With You” by flowerovlov

This 16-year-old rising singer has us listening closely. “Get With You” is a self-explanatory jam.

“HIGH HOPES” by Khazali

This song may be about disappointment, but we’re bobbing our heads along. Listen for strong instrumentals and unique vocals.

“Baila Conmigo” by Tiesto

We had to end this list with a song to dance your heart out to!

See you next Friday!
