Last week, singer Albin Lee Meldau brought his bluesy pop tunes to Brooklyn Steel in Brooklyn, NY. Serving as support for singer Jessie Ware, Meldau opened the show, showcasing his infectious singing voice and showing the crowd that he wasn’t messing around. His soulful and bluesy tone paired with the more modern pop sonic undertones gave the audience the opportunity to groove along with Meldau during his set, whether they were familiar with his music or not. With the release of his debut album, About You, on the horizon, it was clear that Meldau was thrilled to be sharing songs from the album with the world. With a great range of songs, from the ominous “Lou Lou” to the dancy and anthemic “I Need Your Love”, Meldau showed the audience that he is a force to be reckoned with when it comes to his music.
Albin Lee Meldau is currently gearing up to release his debut album About You (via Astralwerks) in June 1st. Make sure to keep a close eye on his website for upcoming tour dates and more information about new music. Check out our photos from his show in Brooklyn below!
