It was as if they had never left.

It’s been 7 years since they last played a show, and 5 years since their last record release. But that meant nothing. On September 28, 2019, Angels & Airwaves returned to Portland for the first time in years, and was greeted to a sold out crowd full of high energy, devoted fans of the band.

The crowd was roaring all night long. Fans moving and shouting the lyrics back at Tom Delonge, keeping the Portland security staff attentive as they formed mosh pits and crowd surfed to Angels & Airwaves staple songs.

The band itself didn’t miss a beat. With a large array of lights behind them, Angels & Airwaves delivered their signature uplifting atmospheric sound, all while lead by their well recognized frontman Tom Delonge. Delonge’s vocals sounded as good as ever, and his performance was everything fan’s know and expect from the frontman. Signature guitar power stances, dance and facial mannerisms, and pausing between songs for comedic moments and monologues.

The excitement was contagious in the venue. The crowd was overjoyed to see their band perform, and roared when they heard the opening instrumentals of songs such as “The Adventure” and “Heaven.” It was obvious Angels & Airwaves has been missed over the years, and fans are delighted to see them touring and making music again.
