On a quiet Sunday night in San Francisco, Nightly turned August Hall into a danceroom. Partying with a room packed with superfans all decked out in the band’s merch, they all made it feel like it was a Saturday night.

The stage was simple, behind the band stood a tall blinding LED screen. A parkbench and phonebooth was off to the side as a little prop. The stage was simple but Nightly’s sound was booming. They set the tone immediately by opening with the title track off their newest album, “wear your heart out.” Fans screamed, and sang and danced along to every word.

It was the wear your heart out tour, and Nightly has steadily built up a wide discography, so much of the set was newer songs off their albums. They still made sure to play some older fan favorites. Songs like “Twenty Something” and “The Movies” remain two of their biggest songs, and to fans delight were performed.

Eventually the party had to end, Nightly danced their way through 20 songs as they closed the night off with “like i do.” Off the latest album and the last of the singles to be released ahead of it, it quickly became a fan favorite and was the perfect note to close the night.
