ONE OK ROCK brings their Eye of the Storm World Tour to Portland, and display the dominance the Japanese rock group has shown stateside.

From the second they stepped on-stage, ONE OK ROCK commanded the attention of the crowd. With a spectacular lighting display behind them, frontman Taka Moriuchi and company shined even brighter. As has been the case for this tour and album cycle, ONE OK ROCK took the stage and opened with their song “Push Back.” The song begins with a chant that is mesmerizing to hear the entire venue screaming. This was the case the entire night though. The energy of the room matched the high energy show and performance from the band. It seemed as if every audience member knew the words to each song, singing and jumping along throughout their set.

The band members all have their solos and moments to shine during the performance, and each catch the eye of the crowd by standing at the edge of the stage. Even drummer Tomoya Kanki stole the attention with his enthusiastic drumming, his smile and joy never once fading from his face. ONE OK ROCK’s vocalist Taka Moriuchi is a sight to see. His comfort on stage and interacting with the crowd is unbelievable. He constantly moves around the stage, dancing and jumping off his stool center stage. Each member of ONE OK ROCK has incredible talent, and together form a fast rising band that’s taking the world by storm.
