As the baseboards reverberated with the opening notes of Nightmares, Palaye Royal took the stage to the cheering of the sold-out crowd at the Pageant. The 18th stop of the North American Life on Mars Tour arrived in St. Louis on 2.22.22, for an experience almost as great as the once in a lifetime date. With support from first opening act poutyface, the crowd was ramped up and ready to rock by the time Canadian-American rock band Palaye Royale set foot on stage.

With a setlist of 8 songs from Boom Boom Room Sides A and B, as well as the The Bastards, time flew as the audience danced and sang along to tracks from “Fucking With My Headto “Get Higherto the cover of My Chemical Romance’s “Teenagers.” Though Palaye Royale’s set flew by, each song was a captivating experience from Palaye Royale’s electric energy and dynamic stage presence.

Since signing to Sumerian Records in 2015, each of Palaye Royale’s 3 studio albums have brought them more and more of an audience—and after watching their live performance it’s no secret as to why. With three released singles thus far from their fourth and upcoming album release, it’s clear why Palaye Royale has garnered incredible support from their fans, with the upcoming album promising an even bigger audience. By the time the last notes of “Mr. Doctor Man” rang out through the crowd, their performance left even first time listeners impressed as they waited for Yungblud, the last act of the night, to take the stage.
