Beloved pop-punk band Waterparks kicked off their A Night Out on Earth tour at the end of last month at The Regency Ballroom in San Francisco, CA in support of their latest album, Greatest Hits.

Despite the Monday night show, the crowd brought all the energy of a weekend concert to the band. The floor erupted in cheers as soon as their beloved performers took the stage. Lead singer Awsten Knight immediately met that energy, bouncing around the stage for opening song “Greatest Hits.”

Waterparks is known for having a fervent fanbase, and San Francisco’s crowd exceeded that expectation. Though the majority of songs on the setlist were off of the band’s newest album, that certainly didn’t stop the audience from knowing every word. From every paranoid, biting lyric of “Fuzzy” to the blustering hip-hop lines of “LIKE IT,” the fans echoed each word right back to the band.

Though the set focused on releases off of Greatest Hits like “Violet!” and “Fuzzy,” fan favorites like “Blonde” served as a treat for longtime fans. One of the undeniable highlights of the night was “I Miss Having Sex But At Least I Don’t Wanna Die Anymore.” Despite the mouthful title, the song has gained popularity through TikTok, creating a perfect storm of catchy melodies and their trademark irreverent lyrics that left the audience nearly drowning out the band’s sound.

From Knight’s boundless energy to the fan’s unwavering devotion, Waterparks proved once again that they are a musical force to be reckoned with.
