All Time Low’s guitarist Jack Barakat and vocalist Kevin Fisher make up the passion pop power duo WhoHurtYou. After releasing their EP Stages, the band debuted live at the Moroccan Lounge in Los Angeles. The 6 song EP takes listeners through every stage of a breakup, something it seems that everyone a the show connected with. Barakat even stopped to joke about adding all of their exes to the guest list but none of them showing up. The band played through their EP with ease and seemed to get more and more comfortable with playing the super personal songs as the set progressed. A surprise in the set? The most emotional Katy Perry cover possibly ever. The band reworked “The One That Got Away” and played it first at the show but you can listen to the official audio here. Opening the show was songwriter & friend Andrew Goldstein’s new project FRND, who joined WhoHurtYou on stage to help them out with one of their originals.
