PHOTOS: PUP — Brooklyn, NY — 4/26/19
After a horribly rainy day in Brooklyn, NY, a sold out PUP show is just what the doctor ordered for the 1,800 New Yorkers packing out the Brooklyn venue. Opening the show is Chicago duo Ratboys, followed by New York natives, Diet Cig. The crowd is energetic and gives the openers the attention these powerhouse groups deserve. After two ruckus opening sets, PUP takes the stage to an excited crowd. Their set is filled with songs off their most recent release Morbid Stuff as well as much loved oldies. PUP bring things back to the early 2000’s hey-day of pop-punk meets emo music. Their energetic songs cover topics from heartbreak to mental health and everything in-between. The crowd loves every second of their performance, and when the gig finishes, no matter how sad their fans were when they arrived, they all leave with glistening eyes as well as glistening foreheads.
