#ROTW: Lucy Hale’s “Road Between”
All Hale the multi-talented actress and singer (sorry, we had an opportunity for a pun and we took it)! Welcome to the second installment of Record Of The Week, brought to you by staff member Kara Johnson. This week, Kara focuses on an actress and pop artist crossover that most of you may be familiar with:
“You may know her as a Pretty Little Liar, but on Road Between, Lucy Hale proves that she’s much more. While it’s the only album under Lucy Hale’s name, it’s an album that’s underrated and should be paid attention to. Songs like “Just Another Song,” “Nervous Girls,” and the title track “Road Between” show Hale’s vulnerable side. Other songs including “You Sound Good to Me” and “Goodbye Gone” are fun summer tunes that you’d be caught listening to in your car stereo. Hale is an actress first, and an artist second but we wish it was the other way around. The pretty little liar has much potential in the music scene, and we wish she would take another shot. But until then, we’re thankful we have Road Between.”
What do you think of Lucy Hale’s first release? Would you be interested in a sophomore record?
