Starkey Hearing Foundation – #StarkeyGala Recap

images

Last night we had the incredible opportunity to attend the #StarkeyGala, which raises money for the Starkey Hearing Foundation. While the foundation has some incredible athletic and political supporters, many musicians support the foundation as well, attending missions to provide hearing aids to people in need.

We were there to cover the red carpet as well as the gala, providing an inside look at some of the performances. Check out a recap of the event below!

The 90 foot step and repeat was ready to go as celebrities, athletes and actors too the carpet to answer a few questions!

Laura Marano stopped by to talk about her upcoming single and album! You can read that interview in the next issue of Beyond The Stage. Make sure you are following Beyond The Stage on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram to find out more.

Before she performed, Jessica Sanchez stopped by to speak about her second time attending the Gala. Interested in winning this signed polaroid? Follow us on Twitter to find out how you can win!

Jessica Sanchez took the stage at the beginning of the show to sing God Bless America, complete with a choir and an eagle that soared across the massive ballroom to begin the night.

Matt Nathanson took the stage next, complete with three songs. Nathanson has been linked to the Starkey Hearing Foundation as one of their celebrity ambassadors, joining the charity on a mission to Peru, where he filmed his “Headphones” music video.

2Cellos took the stage next to provide a little classical entertainment, but just when they hit the stage, they started playing some of our favorite hits.

Katy Perry was last to take the stage and played 5 songs. This time she didn’t have Sharks, but a ball gown, dedicating the songs to those who need help. The crowd was dancing to “Roar,” “Part of Me” and even “Teenage Dream.”

That’s it! Catch our interviews with Jessica Sanchez and Laura Marano in the next issue of Beyond The Stage.
