The Aces announce third album ‘I’ve Loved You For So Long’, here’s why the first two were great

Much like playing cards, The Aces have drawn fans by announcing their third full-length LP I’ve Loved You For So Long out June 2 on Red Bull Records.

The quartet from Utah sprung out a pair of new singles starting in June 2022 with “Girls Make Me Wanna Die” and now “Always Get this” paving the path for a highly-anticipated early summer release.

Adoring fans have propelled the indie-pop rockers to fame in recent years. The band’s response was releasing new records that deliver. Each found its own purpose among fans of various genres starting with 2018’s When My Heart Felt Volcanic.

When My Heart Felt Volcanic –  2018

It started in a garage. The Aces smacked the world with a dancy EP and then showed their full selves with the When My Heart Felt Volcanic LP. It would feature on The Recording Academy’s list of 11 Artists Keeping Rock Alive and Billboard’s Best Overlooked Pop Albums of the 2010s.

They met their largest audiences with appearances on Late Night with Seth Meyers and MTV TRL with Sway Calloway. They met the intimate world of concerts by playing and touring with 5 Seconds of Summer, COIN and X Ambassadors.

The record’s innovation stuck with audiences who came to their shows in support and the fans they picked up touring along the way. It kickstarted a movement that created buzzing anticipation for what the group could do next.

Under My Influence – 2020

The Aces worked tirelessly. They told BTS in their 2022 cover feature that it took nearly all of 2019 to write Under My Influence. That effort made huge payoffs for the band in an unplanned way.

The album was released in July 2020. There was no touring. There was only making the best out of the situation.

Thanks to worldwide loneliness and the shared need to discover more, The Aces made new fans an attachment source and brought comfort to their longtime listeners.

The band eventually toured this record in 2022 while embarking on a headline tour that sold out locations all over the U.S.

In all this time the band released several singles since their last album. The Aces look poised to strike hearts with a world of fans biting at the heels for another satisfying treat.
