Hayley Kiyoko Shares New Song “Greenlight”

Hayley Kiyoko has shared a track she’s played throughout her ongoing world tour titled “Greenlight.” According to a release, the singer known as “Lesbian Jesus” to her legion of fans co-wrote the song with foremost writer Jesse St. John and laid it down with producer Oliver “German” Peterhof. Kiyoko has performed the song live for sold-out crowds globally. Listen to the new tune below.

“Greenlight” has already become a fan favorite on tour. Kiyoko is taking over various mediums right now. Her debut novel, Girls Like Girls, a coming-of-age romance based on her breakthrough hit song and viral video of the same name will be published by Wednesday Books on May 30. That’s the same night Kiyoko kickstarts back-to-back sold-out shows at New York City’s Irving Plaza culminating May 31.

“I’ve spent a lot of time and energy trying to prove my worth to people,” Kiyoko said in a statement. “[I’ve] realized that if a situation in life is stopping you from moving forward or making you feel trapped it’s okay to pivot in a new direction.”

Anyone who can’t catch Kiyoko’s world tour live before it caps in early June can watch her sing “Greenlight” live on June 15 at Proctor & Gamble and iHeartMedia’s “Can’t Cancel Pride 2023 – The Future Starts Now.
