When the stage lights go out, the crowd roars until Dayglow shines.

Dayglow, who just released a self-titled record in September, delivers a dancy brand of rock music. His fans are so into new tracks like hit single “Every Little Thing I Say I Do,” that he oversold tickets at Chicago’s Aragon Ballroom. This week’s show, part of Dayglow’s ongoing North American tour, was upgraded to a bigger venue: The House of Blues.

Beyond The Stage spoke with Dayglow (whose real name is Sloan Struble) on the day he was scheduled to see his North American tour set for the first time. “On the last tour, the show was really video-heavy and production-packed,” Struble said. “This one is much more practical. I’m trying to get as much confetti as I can afford. There will be strobes and big amps. It’s going to be a celebration of music.”

That’s pretty much spot on. The stage was decorared with panels that read “Day” and “Glow.” There was a killer light set. Dayglow will likely need a loan if he’s going to launch more confetti. Keep reading to see more photos from Dayglow’s Chicago show.
