Snooper Announce New Album ‘Worldwide’ and Share Title Track
DIY punk darlings Snooper have announced a brand new album. Worldwide will be released on October 3 via Third Man Records. It’s scheduled to be the band’s second full-length studio LP. Today, Snooper also shared an accompanying music video for the record’s title track. Watch it below.
Thematically, the single “Worldwide” is a dance song, and the band said that sound will shine through on the whole record. The group experimented with making more danceable tracks this time around, as compared to the garage rock and surf punk that drove their critically acclaimed debut Super Snooper in 2023.
Snooper recorded Worldwide with producer John Congleton, who has worked with notable artists St. Vincent, Sharon Van Etten and Angel Olsen. The band said it hadn’t worked with a producer before, but Congleton was a big fan, and the group was ready for some stylistic changes. They believed a producer could help them arrive at a new point.
“The whole idea behind this record was experimentation and change,” said guitarist Connor Cummins.
Worldwide will feature 12 total songs. Scroll down to check out the whole tracklist and view the record’s cover art. Pre-order and pre-save Worldwide here.
