The Strokes Announce First New Album in 6 Years, ‘Reality Awaits’

The Strokes have announced their first new album since 2020. Reality Awaits will be released this summer, according to an Instagram post from the band. The Strokes did not share an exact release date for what will be their seventh full-length record.

The band’s post, which is currently viral online, shows an old car with a never-heard-before guitar and bass riff playing in the background. “In the flesh, it’s even sexier,” reads the text in the post.

The Strokes have announced a number of tour dates for 2026, and the band played in San Francisco over the weekend. However, no new songs were played. They play again in San Francisco Monday night. View a full list of upcoming tour dates below. Tickets are available here.
