Electro soul band B00TY is back in the scene with new single titled “Matter of Time”. This funky jam is featured on the Emmy nominated Issa Rae’s HBO show Rap Sh!t. The song was released under Om’Mas Keith and Adrian Miller’s label A Tiny Universe – home of works by Jay-Z, Kanye West, Frank Ocean and more!
Singers and songwriters Edan Frei and Adam Epelbaum are the masterminds behind the new bop. The two met at UCLA’s Theater, Film and Television program and haven’t separated since, embarking on quite the musical journey.
“Matter of Time” features vocals from R&B act Loose Ends’ Carl Mcintosh. Frei explained he made the beat and hook with Mcintosh, then sent it over to Epelbaum who laid down the vocals.
Bassist and activist April Kae made her mark on the record, as well, along with director and singer Sadé Clacken Joseph (backup vocals and creator of visuals).
B00TY’s latest single emphasizes the concept of patience and belief – things will happen “in a matter of time”. This is only the start for B00TY’s new era, and we can’t wait for more tunes!
