Babe Rainbow Announce New Album, Share Single “Like Cleopatra”: Listen

Babe Rainbow have announced their new album titled will be released on April 4, 2025. This record will be the Australian psych rock band’s first full-length album since joining King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard’s p(doom) records. It’s also their first LP since 2022’s The Organic Band.

Additionally, Babe Rainbow shared a brand new single called “Like cleopatra,” which is one of 11 new songs written and recorded for Slipper imp and shakaerator. The band recently released another single “LONG LIVE THE WILDERNESS” that will also appear on the upcoming album. Watch the music video for “Like cleopatra” below.

The band recorded Slipper imp and shakaerator in a massive warehouse on an old banana farm where they could work alongside producer Timon Martin. Two of the tracks on the new record will feature King Gizzard singer, guitarist and flutist Stu Mackenzie, including “When the milk flows” and “Mt dub.” Parisian-born musician Camille Jansen will be included on the track “Rainbows end.” Scroll down to see the full tracklist for Slipper imp and shakaerator. “When our neighbor Tam’s cows dried themselves up, and we had to wait for one of the cows named Mary to have her calf to have fresh milk, we were buying ‘Cleopatra’s Bath Milk.’ This might explain the theme of ‘Like cleopatra.’ Drink deep or taste not,” Babe Rainbow members Angus Dowling, Jack Crowther and Elliot O’Reilly. “We found our Cleopatra in Camille [Jansen] who kindly sang backing vocals on the album. She has a definite ancient Egyptian aristocratic air to her coolness. Cheers to the rhythm of life.”
