After releasing their single “Baby Blue Shades” in September 2020, Bad Suns have had a quiet winter. They’re back now with a new single “Heaven Is A Place In My Head.”
This song has all the summer feels of a warm, sunny day with wind blowing in your hair. Not only does the song feel like summer, it talks about summer. In the chorus we hear “summer never lasts as long as you want it to” and we couldn’t agree more. The new single is consistent with their sound and especially with “Baby Blue Shades.” It’s upbeat and makes you want to get up and dance. It’s a driving with windows down on a beautiful day feel and nothing beats that.
After releasing the single, Bad Suns stated on Instagram “… this one’s going to hit different live.” possibly dropping hints about a tour. They also made a post that said “a music video would be cool,” so hopefully we can expect that within the coming weeks as well. Just like many artists, they had a virtual concert in 2020. It seems like big things are happening for Big Suns and we can’t wait to hear what’s next.
We really hope this means the possibility of a new album announcement soon. The cover art for their last 2 singles have lots of similarities which hints at them being on an album together. Their last album was Mystic Truth which was released in 2019. Either way, we love this single and will be playing it all summer long.
Bad Suns also released new merch shortly after announcing their single. You can check the new merch out here.
